About April
April spent nearly ten years working for the Douglas County Public Defender, where she worked tirelessly to defend indigent individuals accused of crimes ranging from simple misdemeanors to homicides. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Michael McCormack of the Nebraska Supreme Court, which provided her with invaluable experience handling appeals.
When not practicing law, April enjoys spending time with her family. She also roots for the Iowa Hawkeyes without hesitation!
Educational Background
After graduating with a degree in psychology from the University of Iowa, April continued her path towards becoming a lawyer at Creighton University School of Law, where she received cum laude honors. Her education includes:
