Our attorneys are trusted guides through some of life’s most challenging moments—whether navigating divorce, custody, guardianships, modifications, estate planning, or the countless unexpected turns that shape a family’s future.
We are seeking a Family Law Attorney who is not only technically strong, but emotionally intelligent—someone who understands that great family-law work requires both a sharp legal mind and a grounded, human-centered approach.
If you believe the law is not just a practice but a service, and you want to build a career where impact, integrity, and leadership are valued, you may be the next addition to our team.
Who We Are
At Hightower Reff Law, we’re known for our ability to translate complex legal processes into clarity and confidence for our clients. Our team is consistently recognized in the community, including being named Best of Omaha in Family Law—a recognition earned through our commitment to making the legal system accessible, approachable, and truly client-centered.
Whether through our innovative Will Express events, our community education efforts, or our day-to-day representation, we meet people where they are and guide them forward with empathy and precision.
What You’ll Do
As a Family Law Attorney at Hightower Reff Law, you will:
- Represent clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, parenting plans, modifications, paternity, protection orders, and guardianships
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, understanding that family-law clients need both expertise and emotional support.
- Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Confidently appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Work collaboratively with a team that values communication, transparency, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to a culture where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered—an essential part of the firm’s mission.
- Participate in community engagement efforts, firm events, and educational opportunities that help clients better understand their options and protect their families.
What We’re Looking For
We’d love to talk to you if you:
- Are licensed to practice law in Nebraska or Iowa (or eligible for reciprocity).
- Have experience in family law—or a genuine passion and aptitude for building a career in it.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and with compassion during high-conflict, high-stress situations.
- Thrive in a structured yet supportive environment where documentation, deadlines, and accountability matter.
- Bring a problem-solving mindset—someone who sees possibilities, not roadblocks.
- Value teamwork, feedback, and continuous growth.
- Believe that every client deserves respect, honesty, and clarity—no matter the stage of their journey.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Supportive, modern workplace: We leverage strong systems, training, and collaboration so you can do excellent work without burnout.
- Growth-focused culture: Attorneys develop leadership, trial skills, and long-term career paths.
- Client-centered mission: You’ll join a team that genuinely cares about doing right by families and improving the legal experience.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in customer service, intake, hospitality, sales, call centers, healthcare, or other client-facing industries where empathy, communication, and professionalism matter. The ideal candidate is confident, compassionate, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently without needing constant supervision or micromanagement. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. Sales experience is highly valued, as this position involves helping potential clients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in taking the next step with our firm.
This is a fun, professional office environment where teamwork, accountability, and excellent service are important. We provide a workplace where great people can do great work, and where employees are supported with training, resources, and opportunities to succeed. We want our team members to enjoy coming to work, take pride in helping clients, and feel valued for the work they do every day.
Responsibilities include managing incoming calls and emails from potential clients, gathering detailed and fact-specific information, scheduling consultations, maintaining client files and calendars, assisting with front office duties, and supporting attorneys and staff with administrative projects as needed. This role also requires maintaining confidentiality and building professional relationships with clients, court staff, and outside professionals.
Requirements include at least one year of customer service or sales experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism, reliability, multitasking ability, and comfort working in a high-volume environment. Candidates must be detail-oriented, punctual, and able to maintain empathy and a non-judgmental approach when speaking with clients. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred.
