Tara Wrighton’s background in mental health, child protection, and litigation gives her a unique perspective that few attorneys bring to family law and workers’ compensation cases. Before becoming an attorney, Tara worked as a mental health and substance abuse clinician before serving with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services in child protection. She later clerked for the Honorable Leigh Ann Retelsdorf of the Douglas County District Court, gaining firsthand insight into courtroom procedure and judicial decision-making. Those experiences allow Tara to understand not only the law, but also the emotional and practical realities her clients face every day.

Tara has earned a reputation for being both approachable and exceptionally prepared. She is an active member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, and Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. Tara was also selected for the Nebraska State Bar Association Leadership Academy, recognizing her leadership within Nebraska’s legal community.

Tara earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from South Dakota State University before graduating cum laude from Creighton University School of Law.
