Guardianship & Conservatorship

Do you have a family member or friend in need of a guardian? A guardian provides for the care of an incapacitated person or minor child who is unable to care for himself or herself. A conservator is an individual who manages the estate, property or other business affairs of an individual who is unable to do so for himself or herself.

The Nebraska Supreme Court has approved classes for court-appointed Guardians and Conservators offered by the V.A.S. (Volunteers Assisting Seniors), Omaha and UNL Extension office, statewide. This class provides participants with detailed information, including: Quick Reference Sheets, Inventory Checklists, Annual Reporting forms and others.
